the callout charge includes the first hour on site. with most problems resolved within the first hour, that can mean just £30 for a call in a local area!
if the job is takes longer then additional time is charged at just £7.50 for every half hour.
no fix - no fee?
we only charge you if we can provide a fix for your computer.
if we cannot fix your machine then there is no charge.
if we can establish what the problem is but you decide not to go
ahead with the repair/fix you will be charged.
my computer has a virus ?
thorough in-depth scans to remove virus and spyware infections can take considerable time.
our approach is to offer a fixed price workshop repair. your computer is collected and promptly returned when complete. our fixed price repair covers virus and spyware removal, in-depth scans to ensure your computer has "a clean bill of health", windows and internet explorer updates and anti-virus / anti-spyware installation.
if it takes just half an hour ?
the callout charge does cover up to an hour, so you can ask for another problem to be looked at if you want.
perhaps you might just want advice on networking or general computer queries.
do you fix laptops ?
we can diagnose hardware faults, but most hardware repairs will require a laptop to be returned to the manufacturer.
software problems are usually independent of the hardware platform and can be fixed as normal.
more than one problem ?
of course we can do it. however focusing on one or two problems makes the whole task simpler.
having a long list of problems might seem fine but it might mean that time spent on some peripheral issues could prevent the main problem from being resolved first.
why is the local charge so low ?
we do not need the expensive resources a large national domestic support service would require.
however we are still able to offer a first class expert service with plenty of experience in commercial and domestic pc support and repair.
evenings and weekends ?
there is no surcharge for evening and weekend calls. being a local resource it is simple to arrange a mutually convenient time for the home visit.
can business use the service ?
If you have a small or home based business then by all means take advantage of our pc homecare service.
larger businesses should consider a support contract which can provide secure remote support to user's desktops as well as helpdesk facilities.
